The current version of the Audi A8 went on sale in the U.S. in 2003 and received a minor face-lift in 2007. Yes - it has gotten really old and Frank The Transporter is getting really bored of his getaway ride. Not to mention the 2009 BMW 7-Series, 2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and the Lexus LS have never looked better.
At the 120th annual board meeting of Audi AG, Chairman and CEO Rupert Stadler said that the next-generation of the A8 will make it ”the sportiest luxury sedan in its class.” He said that it will “set new standards with regard to interiors. And we will unveil it to the world in a remarkable fashion in late November.”
According to an Audi insider, the 2011 Audi A8 will hit U.S. roads in fall of 2010. No world on technical specs or pricing as of yet.
