Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer unveiled, known as Vauxhall Insignia VXR Sports Tourer in the UK

Adding to its Insignia OPC hatch and sedan lineup, Opel today unveiled the Insignia OPC Sports Tourer, the fastest estate model Opel has ever produced and the first to incorporate 4×4 and an electronic limited slip differential.

Like its siblings, the 2010 Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer (2010 Vauxhall Insignia VXR Sports Tourer) is powered by a 2.8L V6 turbo engine making 325-hp with a peak torque of 295 lb-ft. That allows for a 0 to 60 mph time in 6 seconds with a top speed limited at 155 mph.

The 2010 Insignia OPC Sports Tourer also sits 10mm lower than the regular Sports Tourer and features the new HiPerStrut system, “which reduces torque-steer and maintains negative camber during cornering.”

Other than that, the 2010 Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer gets all the OPC goodies such as 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inches available as an option), Brembo brakes, Recaro seats, OPC steering wheel and gearknob and OPC sill plates.
