Late last year the cars eligible for the 2009 Green World Car of the Year (WCOTY) award were announced, and this week the organization that hands out the awards has revealed the top 10 finalists in the overall Car of the Year and Performance Car of the Year categories. This year's finalists for the overall WCOTY title include a host of German and Japanese entries with just a single American carmaker on the list - but not for an American-market car. Ford's Fiesta hatchback will soon be coming to the U.S., however, indicating what a strong contender it will likely be.
