Porsche AG, Stuttgart, was still operating in a difficult market environment in North America in April 2009. With 2,044 vehicles, deliveries to customers in North America were 34 percent below the previous year's value; of this number, 1,853 vehicles were for the USA and 191 for Canada. Good news from the viewpoint of the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer is the first sign of stabilization in the 2009 calendar year - with deliveries in April surpassing the March values by six percent.
Of the make 911, 722 vehicles were delivered in the reporting month,
26 percent fewer than in April of the previous year. Deliveries of the Cayenne model declined by 25 percent to 974 vehicles. Of the mid-
engine sports cars Boxster and Cayman, 348 cars were sold to customers in North America, which corresponds to a decrease of 58 percent.
